Former Wallabies star Rocky Elsom has been sentenced to prison by the Narbonne Court after being found guilty of forgery, misuse of corporate assets, and embezzlement.

The 41-year-old received five years behind bars, and an international arrest warrant has been issued for Elsom, who earned 75 caps for Australia during his rugby career.

Elsom, who also played for the Waratahs and Toulon, served as president of Racing Club Narbonnais in 2015 and 2016.

During his tenure, he left the club in financial ruin, reportedly embezzling nearly 700,000 euros for personal gain and that of his close associates. His mismanagement led to Narbonne’s relegation to the French First Division.

Following these events, Elsom vanished from the public eye, resurfacing only recently in an interview with The Times, where he revealed he is currently coaching at the Catholic University School in Ireland.
