Day 1: Drive To Kibale Chimpanzee National Park For Tours

Very early in the morning drive off to Kibale National park. The drive will take you through   plantations and homesteads to reach fort portal the district that lies amidst the great mountains of the moon. You will reach in the afternoon to go track chimpanzees. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Safari Lodge/Rwenzori View Guest house/Kanyankyu ecological centre (FB)

Day 2: Drive To Bwindi Mountain Gorilla National Park

Have breakfast to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park. The park is well known for its gorillas although it harbours others species and birds with over 300 bird species recorded.  You will reach in the late afternoon and then go for a community walk where you will be entertained in some of the cultural dances of the area.  Dinner and overnight Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Community Bandas (FB)

 

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Tracking Tour

Have breakfast to transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before setting off to the forest to track for gorillas. The guide will brief you and at 9:00 am you will set off to the forest for these apes. The time you will take tracking these humble apes in unpredictable however it ranges between 2-9 hours depending on their movement. The activity requires you to go through steep rocks climbing up and down making it tiresome however, the thrill of encountering these giant primates erases the poor memories you went through in trying to find them. Dinner and over night at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma homestead. 

Day 4: Drive To Lake Mburo National Park

Have breakfast to drive off to Lake Mburo National Park. One of the smallest Savannah parks in the country with plenty of antelopes especially the impala from which the capital city of Uganda –Kampala- was named.  You may have a stop at Agip motel for lunch and then proceed with journey to reach in the late afternoon. You will go for an evening canoe ride on Lake Mburo to see animals and plenty of birds long the shore. Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented Camp / Rwonyo Camp

Day 5: Game Drive

In the morning go for a game drive tracking for more animals in the park. You will retire for late breakfast at the park and then set off to Kampala. You will reach in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Kampala
