Looking at the current NFL picture, it’s easy to get carried away in the stacked AFC.

We find the back-to-back Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs as the clear-cut favorites, but teams like the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, and even Houston Texans also look strong.

However, the NFC picture is also quite interesting.

Of course, as of now, it seems like it’ll be either the San Francisco 49ers or Philadelphia Eagles as the ones to get the nod, with the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers sitting a tier below.

Nonetheless, as much as people don’t seem to be talking about them right now, NFL analysts Freddy Coleman and Harry Douglas actually believe the NFC South Division is going to be significantly better than most people think.

Talking on their Freddie and Harry show, they stated that, obviously excluding the Carolina Panthers, the rest of the division could be fairly competitive.

Coleman added that the New Orleans Saints weren’t that far off from winning the division last season, stating that it might come down to whether Derek Carr and Dennis Allen can carry some momentum from their late-season surge into this season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers even won a playoff game and have been the team to beat there since Tom Brady joined them, so they should continue to be good.

As for the Atlanta Falcons, Kirk Cousins’ arrival and a new coaching staff should be more than enough to get them over the hump once and for all.
