The New York Giants went through a tough 2023-24 NFL season largely due to the disastrous season put forth by Daniel Jones which ended prematurely due to a torn ACL, and after an offseason of pre-draft rumors that put his future in question, Jones will once again lead this team in 2024 as he looks to take the next step in his development as a quarterback.

Jones recently spoke with the media after arriving to training camp and gave fans an update on how he’s doing in his recovery from the knee injury.

In a recent video shared by SNY from Jones’ press conference, Jones said he “felt good” and added, “first day, we’re all kind of getting our feet underneath us, so build on it and go from there.”

It’s a great sign that Jones is already fully cleared and taking all the first-team reps as camp gets underway, as he tore his ACL in Week 9 last season and has recovered rather quickly.

This is a huge year for Jones and could be his last chance to establish himself as this team’s long-term franchise QB, especially with running back Saquon Barkley leaving town to join the rival Philadelphia Eagles.

The team spent the No. 6 overall pick on LSU star wide receiver Malik Nabers to give Jones a huge weapon to work with, and he’ll look to capitalize as this team will need to rely on him more with Saquon out of the picture.

Jones needs to have a career year as bad as anybody in football, so it’s great to see him healthy.
