Right now, the Green Bay Packers are the darlings of the national media, and it is easy to understand why.

After a shaky start to last season following the departure of future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, they won six of their last eight games as Jordan Love, Rodgers’ successor, was red-hot.

They carried that momentum into the playoffs, where they upset the Dallas Cowboys in the wild-card round and were minutes away from defeating the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round.

Plenty are now expecting the Packers to reach the Super Bowl sometime in the near future, including former Packers wide receiver James Jones, who said on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak” that Love will take them to the big game within four years.

Love finished 2023 second in passing touchdowns, and in the last eight games of the regular season, he threw 18 touchdown passes and just one interception.

He is already being called an elite QB by some pundits, and he has a group of young and promising wide receivers around him, including Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson.

Of course, there are no guarantees, and it’s possible Green Bay takes a small step backward this season as the rest of the NFL adjusts to what they did last November, December and January.

But as long as Love is as great as he looked then, they have a very bright future, as they have once again found a new franchise signal-caller right after losing their previous one.
