It’s not easy to find success in the NFL, especially if you also struggle to stay healthy.
Unfortunately, that was the case with Rashaad Penny.
According to a report by Ari Meirov, the former Seattle Seahawks running back is calling it quits.

It had been just six years after entering the league as a first-round pick.
The decision was slightly shocking, as he had recently told the Charlotte Observer that he could still be one of the best running backs in the game.
He had signed a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers earlier in the offseason, reuniting with former assistant coach Dave Canales from their days in Seattle.
Now, the team has officially placed him on the reserve/retired list.
The 28-year-old looked like a superstar in the making in college.
He made it to the All-MWC first team in his three final years at San Diego State, also earning Mountain West Conference Player of the Year honors in 2017 after logging 2,248 rushing yards, the fifth-most in a single season by any running back in FBS history.
The Seahawks took him No. 27 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, and he had a promising start to his career before injuries got the best of him.
To this day, he was only able to play in 45 out of a possible 99 regular-season games.
