UNBELIEVABLE DISCOUNTS AT AMAZON.COM ||
Francis Ngannou delivered the goods in his return to the cage earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 19, 2024) at PFL: Battle of the Giants live on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside The Mayadeen in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, stopping Brazilian powerhouse Renan Ferreira with a blistering first-round knockout (punches).
Ngannou and Ferreira both tried to time a big shot early on, but they completely whiffed. “Predator” ate a few leg kicks afterwards before he moved inside and scored an impressive takedown. Ferreira nearly locked up a triangle off his back, but Ngannou was too strong in top position. Ngannou postured up and unloaded ferocious punches that almost put Ferreira out.
Moments later, Ngannou went back to his dangerous ground-and-pound and unleashed a barrage of left hands that clattered Ferreira’s head off the canvas. A few shots seemed to hit the back of the head, but it was in the heat of the moment. Ferreira eventually went out cold and the referee stepped in for the stoppage. It was brutal to say the least.

Ngannou, 38, had not competed in MMA since a decision win over Ciryl Gane all the way back in Jan. 2022. The former UFC heavyweight champion has been fighting inside the boxing ring over the past 12 months and brought some question marks into his PFL debut. Luckily for Ngannou and the promotion, “Predator” put on a dominant performance and regained any MMA allure he may have lost from his failed boxing crossover.
