Jake Paul mocks Alex Pereira for getting ‘exposed’ at UFC 307 — ‘I would beat him in a boxing match’

Add Jake Paul to the growing list of combatants who were not impressed by Alex Pereira at UFC 307, despite the fact that “Poatan” retained his 205-pound title by slicing and dicing Khalil Rountree Jr. atop the pay-per-view (PPV) fight card last weekend in Salt Lake City.

In fact, watching Pereira get “exposed” by “War Horse” only reinforced Paul’s belief that a boxing match would end disastrously for the Brazilian bruiser.

”One thousand percent I would beat him,” Paul told Adin Ross. “That’s the thing is, Rountree actually kind of exposed that he doesn’t have a high volume output. He doesn’t like body shots. In MMA, Pereira would rip my head off. But boxing is a completely different sport, and the pace of it, and the style of it.”

I guess Paul didn’t get this dire warning.

”He has holes,” Paul continued. “I mean, Rountree rocked him, hurt him a couple of times to the body, but didn’t follow up on it. So if anything, this fight showed me, yes, Alex Pereira is great. But, I know I would beat him in a boxing match, and I still would love to make that happen. Pressure is on him. If he can find his way out of the UFC contract like Nate Diaz did, then eventually him and I can talk.”

Somehow I doubt Pereira is feeling any pressure.

Paul, 27, enraged the combat sports community by using his Mike Perry beatdown to call for a boxing match against Pereira. Mostly because “El Gallo” is already booked to fight Mike Tyson in November while “Poatan” remains under contract with UFC.

I guess it’s no better or worse than this ridiculous callout.
