Kayla Harrison wants all the smoke.

Harrison makes her highly anticipated second Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) appearance this weekend (Sat., Oct. 5, 2024) at UFC 307 against Brazil’s Ketlen Vieira from inside Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Harrison has a clear plan: to become UFC champion. She plans to do that after smashing Vieira and is open to fighting three times at UFC 307.

“It’s kind of what fans want, and it’s inevitable,” Harrison told the media during UFC 307 media day (watch here). “I want to fight for the title, and I want to be UFC champion. Julianna has been gifted a title shot, so I’m going to smash Ketlen’s skull, and then I would happily walk out after I beat Ketlen and fight both of those girls. I think I can beat all three girls in the same night. I believe I’m the best in the world, and when you’re the best in the world, you can’t be stopped.”

Of course, Harrison can’t fight three women on the same night, but the sentiment counts.

The current UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion did not take kindly to Harrison’s multi-fight UFC 307 plan.

“She’s going exactly what she needs to; she’s selling herself, hyping herself- being her biggest hypeman,” Pennington told reporters. “At the end of the day, she needs to calm down a bit; she’s now on the biggest stage with a ton of talent. She’ll be humbled soon.”

Harrison is riding a two-fight win streak with 13 finishes, including Holly Holm, who she demolished in her UFC debut (watch highlights).
