The New York Jets have been the talk around the NFL in Week 6 after they decided to fire head coach Robert Saleh following their Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Owner Woody Johnson apparently had enough of what he saw from the team and felt the need to dismiss Saleh, who couldn’t quite put it together on both sides of the ball.

Though the Jets defense has been stellar during the 2024 NFL season, the offense has left much to be desired, even with Aaron Rodgers under center.

The veteran quarterback has had moments of brilliance, but there have been more rough sequences than positive ones in recent weeks.

The 40-year-old is also dealing with an ankle injury that he suffered against Minnesota, though he managed to play through it and finish the game.

New head coach Jeff Ulbrich said that Rodgers’ seems to be doing OK and moving well ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

“[Rodgers] looks really good. He looks like Aaron, which is a fantastic thing,” Ulbrich said, via Rich Cimini of ESPN.

It was a scary moment to see Rodgers go down on the field and limp off, though it appears that he and the training staff have been able to get him back without missing any time.

The four-time NFL MVP may not be the same player anymore, but he’s been serviceable when given time in the pocket to throw.

Against the Bills, though, Rodgers likely will need to work some magic to pick up a victory.
