LAS VEGAS, NEVADA- Yikes, that is a bad one- you’ve been warned.
Irene Aldana suffered a loss at UFC 306 last night (Sat., Sept. 15, 2024) when you got dominated and bludgeoned by Norma Dumont in the “Prelims” headliner from inside the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the second round, Aldana and Dumont clashed heads, which opened up a gnarly gash on her head, and by the end of the fight, it was truly horrific.
Before Aldana was transported to the local hospital, she had to get stitched up, and the UFC’s Consultant Surgeon, Dr. Greg Hsu, released a close-up video of her cut—and it is very nasty.

The doctor also released a video of his finished product, and he did a fantastic job. How many stitches it took to put the Mexican’s face back together is currently unknown.
Aldana, 36, has lost two of her last three fights, including her title fight with Amanda Nunes, which she was dominated for five rounds; however, she did put on a Fight of the Year contender with Karol Rosa last December.
Aldana was also one of six Mexican fighters to lose at UFC 306.
