With the Rugby Championship title on the line, assistant coach Daan Human is confident the Springboks will beat Argentina in Nelspruit on Saturday, by dominating until the end.
The world champion Boks need just one point to secure their first Rugby Championship title since 2019, following a narrow defeat in Santiago last week.
“It’s special to be here [in Nelspruit], and hopefully we can deliver a good performance for the public,” Human told reporters on Monday.
“We know the whole country is behind us, and we owe it to them and ourselves to bounce back strongly. Hopefully, we can deliver a good performance that earns us the win and the Rugby Championship title.”
Reflecting on last week’s game, Human acknowledged that while the effort was there, the team has much to improve on. “We are still very disappointed with the result last week,” he said.

“Playing Argentina at home is tough, but hopefully, the players learned from that experience. We have a lot to work on.”
Human’s focus for the Mbombela Stadium rematch is on ensuring the Bok scrum dominates from the start. “We want to top up all the hard work from the start of the game until the end,” he noted.
“We had a good first scrum, but Argentina found their feet as the game progressed.
“The Bomb Squad made a difference in the second half, but that’s only possible if the starters do their job properly.”
Human also praised Ox Nche for his standout performance against Los Pumas but believes there’s more to come from the powerful loosehead prop.
“I’m proud of him, but as I told him, he can still be better. Scrumming is always a team effort, never a one-man show,” he added.
