Guys, I have bad news.

It turns out Sean O’Malley is not undefeated and did not retain his bantamweight title at UFC 306 last weekend in Las Vegas. That’s the bad news. The good news is, “Suga” can still hurl a 904-mph fastball, because Twitter snitches were not on hand to prove otherwise.

The former 135-pound champion was hit with a series on Community Notes on the popular social media platform after rewriting history in the wake of his unanimous decision loss to Merab Dvalishvili. Sadly, the “Suga State Athletic Commission” has yet to comment.

For those unfamiliar with the fact-checking process, user-generated Community Notes are “built on transparency” and “aim to create a better-informed world, by empowering people on X to collaboratively add helpful notes to posts that might be misleading.”
