Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois came face-to-face on Thurs. afternoon at the conclusion of their final pre-fight press conference, held just two days in advance of their IBF heavyweight title fight on Sat. night (Sept. 21, 2024) inside Wembley Arena in London, England, streaming live on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV).

Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) is coming off a thunderous knockout victory over former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou earlier this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, his fourth straight win. As for Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs), he’s looking to win his third straight after stopping Filip Hrgovic just a few months back, also in Riyadh.
It’s worth noting that Joshua and Dubois have both been defeated by Oleksandr Usyk.
“This time around, [Joshua is] in with the young guy. He’s in with a guy with lesser experience,” promoter Eddie Hearn told TNT Sports Boxing. “This is the first time I’ve really noticed with AJ an admittance of a desperation to win. Normally, it’s very calm. This time, it’s, ‘I have to win this fight,’ and he’s never talked about the championships. I think he’s thinking about how close he’ll be to becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion.”
