The first hour of the UFC Vegas 98 early weigh ins was pretty much by the book, with everyone making weight for the “Royval vs. Taira” MMA event on Sat. night (Oct. 12, 2024) on ESPN+ from inside the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hour two … not so much.

Josh Fremd, Dan Argueta, and Jared Gooden all missed their respective marks on Friday, which will undoubtedly result in a deduction of fight purses (payable to opponents) for two of three combatants. The middleweight matchup between Fremd and Abdul Razak Alhassan has since been canceled.
