Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is stepping up its poster game for the upcoming UFC Paris mixed martial arts (MMA) event, recently made official for Sat., Sept. 28, 2024 at Accor Arena in Paris, France. UFC Paris will be topped by the lightweight showdown between Brazilian bruiser Renato Moicano and hometown hero Benoit Saint Denis, who get five rounds to get it done on the ESPN+ digital network.
“I want to climb the rankings and get at the top,” Saint Denis recently told MMA Fighting. “I feel like I do belong there. In my last fight, I had a lot of stuff going on, but I’m more determined than ever to become the champion. I need to work a lot and I’m ready to do it. I’m on my way. I’m just waiting for the next opportunity.”
The UFC Paris co-main event features an important middleweight matchup pitting Brendan Allen against Nassourdine Imavov. Allen is currently ranked No. 7 at 185 pounds and could steal Imavov’s spot in the Top 5 with a victory on Sept. 28 (the Parisian is ranked No. 4). Elsewhere on the card, former UFC featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie returns to battle red-hot “Wonder” Nora Cornolle.
